Majorcraft Crostage Jigging Rod

by Barry Taylor

Jigging in Tropical waters is extremely productive in summer as the species list available is often wide and varied .

A recent trip to the fish rich waters of The Ningaloo Reef near Exmouth saw my wife and I targeting the best bottom fish with jigging gear in-between our trolling sessions. I was dying to bend my new Majorcraft Crostage CRJ-S60/5  in anger on some tuff reef species and did so leaving me with plenty to smile about. Running pe2 Unitika Power Jigging Braid over the Crostage’s silky smooth  Fuji K Silicone guides, I felt in control when pulling this feisty GT out of 40 meters over rugged coral bottom. I cant believe how a rod so light in the hand and easy to use can pack such a punch on tuff bottom species. This healthy specimen was released in great shape.

Our session continued raising several great bottom species including Rankin Cods, Coral trout and many Emperor species.
